Tonight I was thinking about my future and what being a SMBC may mean to my child. I have been planning this for so long and have put so much time, effort and funds into my Journey. No matter if I have a boy or girl, I know they will have some terrific male role models in their life. The best male role model hands down is MY DAD. He is supportive, compassionate and loves unconditionally. Although he would never be reading this...I honor my Father with this post. My Dad is proof that strong men can be soft & sensitive to their children and be simply incredible! I can't wait for my child to get to know my Dad....he is simply a hoot! In honor of you Daddy....here is a blast from the Past picture. Can you guess who was a Daddy's Girl??

That is very cute, Candace! Goshk... I'm almost 43, and I still call my dad "Daddy" sometimes. We're closer now than ever. He has a strong role as male role model in my nieces' lives. And he knows how important that is now. He may not have been there for us girls growing up, but he totally gets it now. I'm so glad you have your dad -- that he was a wonderful father to you, and that he will be there for your little one. Here's a CHEERS to your dad! And to your wonderful memories of your relationship with him!!
Hey you! What a cute picture! Dads are great! I wish mine was closer in miles.. Daddy's ROCK!
I agree that there is nothing like your dad. Mine didn't get to see my kids, he passed when I was a teen. I love to pull out those old pictures and let my kids know him through pics and stories.
Cute pic! You are lucky to have a good father in your life. There are so many that do not.
Thanks for the lovely comments, ladies. I agree 100% Great Dads are a blessing.:) I certainly appreciate mine.
So adorable!!!! Kudos to you for the post. Kris and I have talked about this subject alot... being two women obviously testosterone isn't of the majority in this house... however, we both have some awesome dads and brothers and we know we are hoping we can fufill that male role model that every child deserves.
Sweet picture and story Candace.... looks and sounds like you have a wonderful father!
